Within my essay I have looked specifically at Dolce and Gabbana advertising, they are renowned for being overtly sexual and they are often violent, with themes of rape or sexual violence. The violence is nearly always aimed at the women in the advertisement, however there are a few campaigns where the violence is aimed at men. After researching these particular adverts I found that the advert always aims itself at the dominant male in the image, or the dominant female like in the images below, many of their advertisements actually involve dead bodies.
These advertisements shows a group of men acting sexually violently towards a female, she is acting submissively, Many feminists would argue this is how society has taught women to behave, as society is dominated by men and so men have the power to influence women's behaviour.
